Coz time is short and I have to set things on the record.

Just encountered a phishing attack for a local bank

Usually you hear about this for foreign banks. Well, just minutes ago I got an email from my bank, stating that I need to update my account for security reasons. The email looks legit, with the bank logo and all, plus the design isn’t broken. But out of curiosity I hovered my mouse on the given link, and from there I knew it was a phishing attack. It points to http://www.tieger.in/loginjsp.htm. Again, out of curiosity I clicked on the link, and Google Chrome correctly marked it as a phishing site. Again, out of curiosity I went to the site anyway, and it’s almost an exact copy visual-wise.

Be careful when getting emails like this. Always check the links! Always check the URL in the address bar of your browser.
